Global Funds Project MLANGO II Project (January 2021- December 2023)

TaNPUD has implemented projects being funded by GF through THPS. Project to support Methadone programs for PWUIDs in prisons and support needle and syringe programs in Malinyi district.

Currently TaNPUD has been involved in implementation of the global funds project MLANGO II Project (January 2021- December 2023)-Malinyi District -Morogoro . To reduce new HIV infections by 85 % in 2023, with aim also to increase service coverage to People who inject drugs (PWID) 58% to 90% in 2023, area of interventions consists Community empowerment, Condom programming, Provision of differentiated HIV testing services (HTS), KVP specific interventions such as social protection – behavior change communication, structural activities interventions for Young Key Populations, Sexual and Reproductive Health services, including STIs.

COMPASS TZ PROJECT

TaNPUD implements COMPASS project under AVAC and PZAT as Sub grant for BMGF in COMPASS coalition. Project to Advocate for

Better environment for PWUDs, where there is less harassment by Legal enforcement agencies and health care workers towards PWUDs.

Harm reduction service to be increased in cities/towns and in prison settings.

KPIF PROJECT. 2020

TaNPUD implemented the KIPF project from CDC-MDH under the KPIF to aid in mobilizing PWUIDs in Kibaha-Pwani for HIV testing and linkage, TB screening and MAT services linkage.

GF KANCO 2017. 2019

TaNPUD implemented a Mapping project from Global Fund under KANCO in Kenya. Mapping of PWUIDS in Mwanza, Tanga, Mbeya, Temeke, Kinondoni, Ilala, Kigamboni and Pwani.

By this project, TaNPUD came up with the real situation from the ground concerning PWUIDs.

UNESCO. 2016

TaNPUD works with UNESCO to implement an educational project on the effect of drug abuse. Education provided in 12 schools of Temeke and Kigamboni District.
