Since 2016 TaNPUD had a number of   crisis response teams (CRTs) which were tasked with the role of responding to incidents where PWIUDs were in conflict with law enforcers and with the community. CRTs have acted to save many PWIUDs from incarcerations and from likely mob violence in the communities. Where PWIUDS are either incarcerated or mobbed, there is post-incident care that caters for either medication, prison release endeavorsand psycho-social services.
